Position: Public health (local consultant)
The Ministry of Health is announcing a vacancy of the Public Health local consultant for the Mongolia COVID-19 Emergency Response Project financed by the World Bank International Development Association and implemented by the Ministry of Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The consultant shall provide support in the all aspects of vaccine deployment related activities and ensure effective coordination with relevant stakeholders as required by MOH and the World Bank. And provide support in improving the public health activities under the strategic framework of the Mongolia COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Project.
The local consultant shall undertake the following:

Support and monitor the implementation of the vaccine deployment plan, Vaccine Delivery Distribution Manual, Stakeholder Engagement plan and Environmental and Social Management plan.

Support the strengthening of the post-immunization adverse reaction reporting mechanisms.

Creating an enabling environment for One Health. One Health is an approach that recognizes that the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment. One Health is not new, but it has become more important in recent years. This is because many factors have changed interactions between people, animals, plants, and our environment.

Cooperate with IPIU and implementing partners, participate as team member in other project activities.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Bachelor or higher degree (Master degree in relevant field is an advantage)

University graduate in public health or medical science
-
At least 3 years of relevant experience in the field of Public health (Experience in routine vaccination programs, outbreaks, and One health is an advantage);

Provide at least 2 reference letters to prove these required skills and on successful completion of similar scope and nature assignments from previous clients.

Strong quantitative analytical skills combined with a solid understanding of qualitative research methodologies;

High integrity and accountability, good team work spirit
-
Extensive computer skills
-
Highly developed analytic skills on conducting risk assessment, and public health research

Ability to prepare plans and write reports
-
Good written and spoken English (supported by certificates or other relevant documents) will be an advantage
-
Ability to work in rural areas for an extended period of time is an advantage.
NOTE
This is a 12 months consultancy work and will not be extended.

Notarized copy of the citizen ID;
